Welcome to the 2006 State Legislature and MSU Trustee Survey brought to you by VoteSmart MSU! On this website, you will find candidates' responses to a litany of questions, from fiscal concerns to social policies. The candidates' responses are in their own words, so you can get a better idea of where they stand on the issues.

Local races tend to be overlooked at the ballot box. It can be argued, however, that the people you elect for local offices have more effect on your daily life than candidates at the national level. This website was created to help students and the citizens Michigan navigate the positions of the candidates for important offices that effect MSU, and to facilitate informed voting.

You will find here a comprehensive survey of the candidates, as well as the only student-initiated candidate survey this year. All questions were supplied by students, on issues they care deeply about. We hope that this website will be helpful as you make your decisions this year. Please remember to vote on November 7th.
